About us
A inclusive Natural Voice choir for the whole community of Leatherhead and the surrounding area.
A bit more about us
Formed in 2011 as part of a county-wide singing project called "Singing Surrey". Now fully independent, self-funding and run by a voluntary committee of members.
Our singing leader is Jacky Hintze, leader of a number of choirs, composer/arranger, Member of Briish Kodaly Academy and the Natural Voice Network.
We aim to be inclusive and currently have members who are partially-sighted or are wheel-chair users as well as a cross-section of the community. No auditions are needed, just come and have a go.
We have people from Leatherhead, Fetcham, the Bookhams, Ashtead, Oxshott and Cobham and some from further afield.
The choir originally met at Kingscroft Chapel in North Leatherhead from the started until the Lockdown of 2020 and we are grateful to the Chapel for having us, especially to our wonderful host, Neil.
Since September 2021, we meet in a new venue - Mencap's Fortyfoot Hall, Fortyfoot Road, Leatherhead. See the Join Us tab for a map and directions.
Jo Peace took up the reins as our Choir Leader in September 2023 after Jacky Hintz retired.
